An interactive cookbook at the touch of your fingers, with the ability to; search for cooking recipes with the ability to filter for tags and amounts, have a cooking assistant to provide voice overs and provide a timer for each step. The app will also provide nutritional information on a recipe and by clicking/tapping on a step can get the cooking definitions and techniques, users will have the ability to adjust the size of the recipe to fit the number they will be serving, be able to add, remove or change steps and save them as your own recipe as well as share and export recipes with friends.
Finally, the app will have a leftover inventory that a user can fill out and have the app search for any recipes that fit in those dimensions. This is important service because the currentCOVID-19 pandemic has most people locked at home and avoiding social gatherings, such as restaurants and have opted to eat in to prevent the spread of the disease and lower the curve. This service will help make it easier to get people to start cooking from home and reaping the health and cost savings benefits. Compared to traditional cookbooks, the interactive cookbook is a lot easier to move and search for the recipe you need. Additionally, it will have less cumbersome UX compared to other recipes sites and apps and avoid having clutter in the recipe instructions itself. This application could be implemented as a mobile app, web app, or a computer-based desktop app.
The service that a Travel Planner would provide is the ability to lookup on the given date, the flights available to the desired location. This would include the airlines that are offering them, whether the flight is direct, or connection based, the price after taxes, and a return flight if applicable. The primary focus would be to create an app that is easy to use for any user, regardless of computer knowledge. This would be done by keeping all the initially important information large and colorful, and once completed it will highlight other information required to be completed.
The UI of choosing a date for example would bring up an easy to read calendar that will allow you to choose its departure and if applicable, arrival date. Once this is done, the app will bring up a clean look at flights going to the destination chosen on the given date, and a price attached to them. The focus of this product will be the use of a very well formulated, easy to understand user interface that will help users plan a vacation no matter how experienced they are with current day technology. This application could be implemented as a mobile app, web app, or a computer-based desktop app.
The service that the car repair app would provide is the ability to view the specifications of a car, have access to the manual of the car, be able to view a 3D model of the car and it’s parts, and access sites that sell the parts from the app. This is an important service because often all these aspects can be found online, but not in an aggregated place. Often, people who are looking to fix their car have to visit multiple websites and forums until they obtain the right part number or figure out the specifications of their vehicle(for example to buy the right size of tire), and then having to go to more websites to find a place to buy the part itself. This service would be a novel idea that would bridge the gap between all of these aspects of repairing cars and allow user access to any information they need all in one location. It would also combine features together that usually exist apart, for example, being able to click on a part, view it and access stores that sell it. This app could be implemented as a mobile app or a website.
